Excellence in driver training

Unfortunately I am not able to offer lessons at the moment.  All the best, Nicky
Welcome all Aspiring Drivers!

Aspiring Drivers offers coaching and guidance for drivers in and around the Wanaka area. Whether its your first time in the drivers seat or you need to polish up some of your driving skills for a restricted or full licence or even resit your test for an endorsment, Aspiring Drivers can help you!

What we do:

We aim to help you to feel relaxed as possible whilst you learn so that you can build the confidence you need to become a great driver.  We make learning fun so you will become a safe and confident driver sooner than you thought possible.

We keep up to date with all the latest training techniques and industry standards, with regular updates from NZTA and New Zealand Institute of Driver Education best practice.

Currently we are offering lessons in your vehicle. All vehicles behave slightly differently, so by learning in your own vehicle, you will become familiar with how your vehicle reacts to your controls allowing you to keep your attention where it matters.

  • Wanaka's ONLY qualified female driving instructor

  • Practical driver training to guide you through your Restricted and Full Licence test.

  • Re-cap training for those needing to take their full licence test again to gain an endorsement.

  • Specialised training for young drivers and courses designed for nervous and elderly drivers

  • Driving assessment/pre test training.  A mock test which will highlight any skills which you need to brush up on before your test.

About me

Originally from the UK, I moved to Wanaka around 15 years ago and have never looked back. Before I left, I compleated a degree in Outdoor Leadership and still love the outdoors, be it spending time, ski-ing, biking or on my horse.

Whilst at uni, I started teaching friends to drive and then when I moved to Wanaka in 2006, I found myself doing the same thing again and realised its something I really enjoy doing.

So whats my motivation to teach you?

Although driving is often seen as a right of passage for many young people, so many injuries and deaths occur on our roads.  If I can prevent even one accident by encouraging drivers to think about their actions, this drives me on.  Also, for some, driving can feel like a huge hurdle so if I can help you aquire the skills required to get your licence, the results really can be life changing.
